Various Artists — “Four Bands that Could Change the World? LP
7 SECONDS really disappoints me here with their five tracks. Only one is good (“Compro”), while the others are either a second-rate LP outtake, a half-hearted live song, or in the case of “Dance of Innocence", a boring practice session. WHITE FLAG is OK, with some good live tracks and a great cover of Dr. Seuss’s Grinch’s theme song. A.O.D. rules (so what else is new?) with their four tracks, and F shows us a band that should be more popular than they are. Their 4 tunes really shine, and come close to blowing WHITE FLAG and 7 SECONDS right off the other side of the disc. All in all, a disappointing release, which should have been 1000 times better, considering the bands on it. [MICKEY]
