DOGGY STYLE -- “DOGGY STYLE III – Don't Hit Me Up” LP

The best way that I can describe the DOGGY STYLE sound is a carnival ride – pure, harmless fun. They’ve got their act down pat. I’ve been a long time fan of DOGGY STYLE, and I can honestly say that they’ve progressed and matured at an incredible rate. Forget thrashy, three-chord tunes—the melody of Ed’s guitar playing stands out. Stone cranks out some unbelievably original beats on his drums, and Rib has found his vocal style (which was sort of shaky on the “Doggy Style II” LP. This is one band that deserves such more attention that they’ve been getting. Maybe they’ll receive it on this label! (XXX Recs.)   [MICKEY]
